Health Minister Dr. Fahrettin Koca shared on his social media account that the 64-year-old patient, who was brain dead in Giresun, gave life to 3 people awaiting transplantation.
Minister Koca made the following statement in his post:
“The 64-year-old patient, who was brain dead due to hypertensive intracranial hemorrhage, gave a new life to 3 people awaiting transplantation with his donated organs. With the approval of their relatives, the liver and kidneys taken from the donor were simultaneously transferred to three different patients awaiting transplantation in Ankara, Sivas and Samsun.
