Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca shared on his social media account 6 issues for which he expects support from member of parliaments regarding improving the personal rights of healthcare workers. Minister Koca stated: “On December 16, in my speech in the Parliament during the Ministry of Health Budget Discussions, I thanked the esteemed MPs for their legal regulations to improve the personal rights of healthcare workers. I focused on 6 issues that we expect support from them to finalize: 1. Increasing the additional indicator for physicians' retirement to a minimum of 6,400 2. Reflecting the fixed wages of healthcare workers to retirement without loss of rights 3. The base wage of healthcare workers should be 1/3 of that of general practitioners, that is, increasing from 0.32 to 0.64 4. Regulation of duty fees 5. The base wage of Specialist Family Physicians should be the same as that of Specialist Physicians 6. Family Health Centers should be built by the public sector thus not paying any rent. I believe that the Supreme Assembly will support us with its will.”
