Turkey and Iran signed an agreement on donation in the field of healthcare. The agreement was signed between Prof. Emine Alp Meşe, Deputy Minister of Health, and Muhammed Farazmand, Iran's Ambassador to Ankara.
Turkey has extended a helping hand to Iran, one of the countries affected the most by the coronavirus.
Turkey offered Iran medical supplies in response to the global Coronavirus outbreak, which was previously declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization.
Agreement on Donation in the Field of Healthcare Between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of Iran Islamic Republic was signed between Prof. Emine Alp Meşe, Deputy Minister of Health, and Muhammed Farazmand, Iran's Ambassador to Ankara.
As part of the agreement, 1000 diagnostic kits, 4715 overalls, 20.000 aprons, 4000 N95 masks and 75.000 three-ply masks were donated to Iran.
Donated supplies are on the way to be delivered to Iran.
Deputy Minister, Prof. Emine Alp Meşe, was granted the authorization to sign on behalf of the Republic of Health agreements to be signed on the in-kind donation of various drugs, medical devices and supplies to 86 countries, including Iran Islamic Republic, in 2020 by a Presidential Resolution.
