Erdoğan Inaugurates Izmir Bayraklı City Hospital

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the opening ceremony of İzmir City Hospital and Link Roads.

“We have provided all our cities with the most advanced healthcare services”

Underscoring that the İzmir City Hospital is one of the biggest and the most modern healthcare facilities in not only Türkiye but also the world, President Erdoğan said: “We have provided all our cities with the most advanced healthcare services with all their buildings, equipment and ambulances. We have elevated our healthcare services to a level above world standards with city hospitals put into service in many places as well as in İzmir. We have strengthened our human resources in this area with nearly 1.5 million healthcare workers, 310 thousand of them doctors. We have brought service to our citizens’ doorsteps by providing 2.5 million people across the country with healthcare services at home.”

Minister Koca spoke at the opening of Izmir Bayraklı City Hospital

Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca said that the opening of Izmir Bayraklı City Hospital makes the city a candidate to become a health base and has achieved the first of the “Century of Türkiye” investments.

“We are responsible for making your dreams come true”

Izmir City Hospital is a complex of hospitals with 417-bed internal medicine clinics, 547-bed surgery and oncology hospital, 183-bed cardiovascular and chest diseases hospital, 513-bed gynecology, obstetrics and children's diseases hospital, 300-bed physical therapy and rehabilitation hospital and 100-bed high security forensic hospital. Furthermore, the building was strengthened with 1301 earthquake isolators against earthquake risk. Koca further stated that the facility, which has a closed area of 628 thousand square meters and a capacity of 2 thousand 60 beds, 374 of which are intensive care beds, constitutes the highest step of health investments in Izmir.
