Deputy Minister of Health Halil Eldemir received Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ankara Abzal Saparbekuli to discuss probable areas of cooperation in the field of health.
Turkey will share its experiences in health system strengthening and lead implementation of PPP projects in Kazakhstan.
Director-General of Health Investments Hüseyin İnceöz, Director-General of EU and Foreign Affairs Dr. Selami Kılıç, Director-General of USHAS Mehmet Ali Kılıçkaya were also present in the meeting. The parties exchanged opinions on development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation activities in the field of health. They also talked about PPP projects by which method Turkey opened 9 city hospitals.
Turkey and Kazakhstan will continue cooperation activities in the coming period especially in the field of health tourism and health system strengthening, and there will be established a working group for this purpose.
Health Minister Dr. Fahrettin Koca had a meeting with his Kazakh counterpart Yelzhan Birtanow the previous week, and the Health Minister of Kazakhstan and the accompanying delegation paid a visit to Adana and Ankara City Hospitals.
