Organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye, in cooperation with the Edirne Governorship and USHAŞ (International Health Services Inc.), the Health-Business Forum for the Balkan Countries was held in Edirne on April 26-27, 2025. This special event, attended by Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu, aimed to strengthen partnerships in the field of health with the Balkan countries and to promote Türkiye's modern health infrastructure.The Balkans Are Very Close to Our Heart Prof. Memişoğlu stated in his speech that “The Balkans are a region very close to our heart, where we closely cooperate on issues such as mutual economic interests, security cooperation and social development. As Türkiye, we maintain multifaceted, long-term and sincere relations with all Balkan states and communities. We prioritize maintaining stability in political relations; we develop our relations in the fields of health, economy, social and culture every day. Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we announced the Century of Healthy Türkiye program with the ‘Protecting, Developing and Producing Health’ model and we are implementing this program step by step. Furthermore, we target to position Türkiye as a health hub for our region and across the globe.” Minister of Health Memişoğlu held bilateral meetings on the occasion of the Health-Business Forum. In addition, comprehensive evaluations were made with the Health Ministers, high-level bureaucrats and delegations participating in the Forum from the Balkan countries.
