Health Minister Dr. Ahmet Demircan held bilateral meetings with the guest health ministers attending the International Traditional and Complementary Medicine Congress.
During the meetings, the guest ministers expressed their requests to share the successfully implemented health policies and experience of Turkey in the field of health.
Dr. Ahmet Demircan had meetings with Saira Afzal Tarar, National Health Services Regulation and Coordination Minister of Pakistan, Imed Hammami, Public Health Minister of Tunisia, and Aziz Mahamet Saleh, Public Health Minister of Chad, respectively.
During the meeting with H.E. Saira Afzal Tarar, it was decided to establish official delegations for examination of the practices in Turkey and designation of the support areas.
H.E. Imed Hammami proposed to conclude a cooperation agreement in order to develop the relations between two countries. During the meeting, the parties exchanged opinions regarding the Maternity Hospital planned to be constructed in Tunisia.
H.E. Aziz Mahamet Saleh was the last guest of the Turkish Health Minister. During the meeting, the already completed activities and ongoing activities were evaluated within the framework of the previously signed cooperation agreement. Health Minister of Chad requested assistance especially in the field of hospital operation. Dr. Demircan ordered to start the necessary procedures to provide the requested support.
