Health Minister Dr. Fahrettin Koca received Ambassador of Libya to Ankara Abdurrazaq Mukhtat on 28 August 2018, Tuesday.
Treatment of Libyan patients in public, private and university hospitals of Turkey within the framework of the agreement to be signed with USHAŞ (International Health Services Corporation) and training of Libyan students in Turkey in the fields of health, medicine, nursing etc. were among the discussion points.
Health Minister Dr. Koca mentioned about localization activities launched by the Turkish Government in order to reduce external dependency in medicines, medical devices, supplies and vaccines, and said to be ready for cooperation with Libya in this area.
The parties also reached an agreement on the transfer of health reform experiences of Turkey to Libya in order to further develop Turkey-Libya relations.
