Minister of Health, Dr. Fahrettin Koca, visited Dr. Zekai Tahir Burak Hospital, where passengers and crew members from Iran are kept under observation, and received information from the hospital administration.
Koca pointed out that passengers were kept in separate rooms and use disposable materials and healthcare personnel were taking necessary measures to protect themselves.
Koca commented: "We have 132 passengers and 10 cabin crew members, none of whom have fever. Their general clinical presentation is good and none of them have respiratory problems."
Stressing that they wanted to observe the patients during the 14-day incubation period, Koca continued: "The Scientific Board will look at every patient to determine in the upcoming days how much longer they should be monitored. Right now, we do not have any coronavirus positive patients."
