Minister of Health, Dr. Fahrettin Koca, inspected pandemic hospitals that are currently under construction at Sancaktepe and Atatürk Airport campuses and Başahşehir Ikitelli City Hospital.

Following the inspection, Koca delivered a statement about the hospitals that are under construction at Sancaktepe and Ataturk Airport campuses.

With regard to the hospital being built at Sancaktepe, Koca said: "We are at Sancaktepe. The pandemic, earthquake and disaster hospital is under rapid construction. This multi-purpose hospital with 1008 bed capacity, 432 of which is intensive care, will offer services at full capacity whenever needed. Turkey will keep on making a difference in the world thanks to its healthcare system."

With regard to the hospital currently under construction at Ataturk Airport campus, Koca said: "We will get both sides of Istanbul ready for emergencies. The multi-purpose hospital we are building in Yeşilköy will offer a strong infrastructure in case of an epidemic, earthquake, or a disaster. The total bed capacity of the hospital, in which every room can also serve as an intensive care room, is 1008.

Following his inspections of the construction sites at Sancaktepe and Ataturk Hospital campuses, Koca visited Başakşehir Ikitelli City Hospital, the first phase of which will be opened in a short while.
