Minister Koca: "We are preparing to establish Field Hospitals for the healthcare services which Gaza is deprived of." Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca announced on his social media account that preparations to establish Field Hospitals for healthcare services in Gaza were continuing. He noted, “We are preparing to establish Field Hospitals for the healthcare services which Gaza is deprived of. We are in coordination to bring the babies and children to Türkiye. The hospital supplies brought by ship from Türkiye for the Field Hospitals planned to be established in Gaza are stored in the garden of Sheikh Zuweid Hospital in Egypt. Sheikh Zuweid Hospital is only 9 km from the Rafah border gate. The coordination team of our Ministry is also closely monitoring getting the permissions for the field visit regarding the establishment of Field Hospitals in Gaza. Today, our team has completed its planning on which type of material will be transported to Gaza in the first place, together with the Egyptian authorities. We agreed on the identification and transfer of the Gazan babies and children to Türkiye, an issue on which we carry out intense diplomatic activities, and coordination efforts with the three relevant countries are continuing.”
