The world's first 6-cross liver transplant surgery was performed at Malatya İnönü University Liver Transplant Institute. Minister Koca stated on his social media account that the first 4 and 5-cross liver transplants were previously performed in this center and shared the following information: “Cross transplantation surgeries mean that patients cannot receive organs from their own donors due to blood and tissue incompatibility although they have donors, and transplantation is performed from the donor of one to the recipient of the other among patients in the same situation. The most advanced of these transplants, 6-cross liver transplantation surgeries increase hope for patients waiting for transplantation.” You can access the relevant video here: https://twitter.com/drfahrettinkoca/status/1750845504659832897
