Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu visited Rize to hold various meetings, and met with the citizens of Rize in the city center on the first day of the visit. Minister Memişoğlu, who started the second day of the Rize program with a visit to the Family Health Center, met with healthcare professionals and emphasized the importance of primary healthcare services. He also attended the meeting in Rize Governorship where current health indicators and investments in the region were evaluated, and made a press statement after the meeting. In his speech, Minister Memişoğlu touched upon the importance of health investments and preventive health services in the region and made a series of field visits after the press conference. Minister Memişoğlu visited the constructions of Rize City Hospital and Güneysu Psychiatric Hospital to examine the health investments in the city and received information from the authorities in the field. In the last hours of the program, Minister Memişoğlu visited Rize State Hospital, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Training and Research Hospital, Fındıklı State Hospital and Kaçkar State Hospital, and completed the Rize program by meeting with the hospital managers.
