Deputy Minister of Health Halil Eldemir went to Kastamonu for on-site examinations at Kastamonu University Faculty of Medicine.
Following his visit to the construction site, Eldemir made a press statement.
“In the last 17 years, we made health investments worthy of TRY 365 million in Kastamonu. There are still some districts in needs of healthcare-related investments. We are well aware of this, and working on it. Tendering procedures for the hospital in Cide will take place on 14 April. We are also continuing to plan the hospitals in Bozkurt, Abana, Çatalzeytin and Küre” said Eldemir.
In response to a question about whether the students of Kastamonu University Faculty of Medicine will be able to start training in Kastamonu in the academic year 2019-2020, the Deputy Minister made the following statement:
“All stakeholders including the Governor of Kastamonu, Mayor and members of parliaments are attentively working on this subject matter. However, it is not appropriate to answer this question as education or university-related affairs are not directly affiliated to the Ministry of Health. Considering the recent statement of Deputy Minister of Finance concerning sufficiency of funds for the construction activities of the Faculty, I think there would not be any delay.”
