Health Minister Dr. Fahrettin Koca went to Yalova on the occasion of the delivery of new ambulances, and conducted on-site examinations at Yalova State Hospital.
Following his visit to Governor Muammer Erol, Dr. Koca made a press statement, reminding that investments worthy of TRY 12 billion have been made in Yalova for the last 16 years from transport to health and education. The share of health among the investments is TRY 300 million.
“We have a very large hospital investment with 400 beds for Yalova. The tender was held on 23 January, with a value of 233 million. We are talking about a safe investment on 200 acres of land with 105 thousand square meters of covered area, 17 operating rooms and 105 intensive care beds, 130 polyclinics and earthquake insulators. It will be completed in 710 days in total. We will endeavor to complete this hospital at the end of next year, at the beginning of 2021” added Dr. Koca.
Dr. Koca also underlined the importance of Yalova for health tourism.
Following his visit to Governor’s office, Dr. Koca attended the ambulance delivery ceremony.
Providing information on the current number of ambulances, i.e. 4 thousand 910, Dr. Koca said “Tender was completed for delivery of 800 ambulances this year, and 400 ambulances were already delivered. In this first party, we will deliver 3 of our 7 different 4x4 land type ambulances to our Yalova today. We will increase the total number of ambulances from 4 thousand 900 to 5 thousand 700, which is a figure that is significantly above the world average.
Especially in the new period, we will also provide digital infrastructure for the ambulances to ensure digital ambulance structure. We started the first pilot application in Bolu in February. In this process, all ambulances will be transformed into digital structures, providing, for example, ECG services and correct interventions in contact with the headquarter.”
