The National Pandemic Coordination Board convened in Ankara under the presidency of Prof. Emine Alp Meşe, Deputy Minister of Health.
The meeting was attended by deputy ministers of relevant ministries, and representatives of the Turkish Red Crescent, Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) and Council of Higher Education (YOK).
Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Şuayip Birinci, provided general information about the current situation of COVID-19 cases in Turkey. Then, the parties discussed the measures taken by the Ministry to respond to the pandemic.
Representatives of other ministries and institutions also expressed their views and expectations from the Ministry of Health.
The National Pandemic Coordination Board will continue to meet weekly to review the measures taken to respond to the pandemic.
