Kayseri City Hospital was inaugurated in the presence of H.E. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the TGNA (Turkish Grans National Assembly) İsmail Kahraman, Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım, Health Minister Dr. Ahmet Demircan and many ministers.
In his speech, H.E. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that city hospitals had been his dream since his duty as the mayor and added that “Thankfully, we laid the foundations before and hold the inauguration ceremony today. Such a big progress. The foundations we laid have come to this point.”
H.E. Erdoğan further stated that Kayseri was the fifth city hospital inaugurated following Yozgat, Isparta, Mersin and Antalya and they planned to complete Ankara Bilkent, Manisa, Eskişehir and Elazığ City Hospitals by the end of the year.
According to statements of the Turkish President; with one thousand 607 bed capacity, 466 thousands 400 square meter closed and 281 thousands 500 square meter open area, Kayseri is the biggest city hospitals inaugurated so far. There are 413 examination rooms, 253 intensive care units and 43 operation tables in the hospitals which consist of 4 main hospital buildings and physical therapy and forensic departments.
In addition to closed parking lot with 3 thousands 200 cars capacity and open parking area with 200 vehicles capacity, there is a heliport and in cases of emergency, patients transferred with helicopters will be able to be admitted directly to the operation rooms or intensive care units.
H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also expressed his good wishes so that the hospital completed in less than 3 years would make good contributions for both Kayseri and the region, congratulated those who took part in the whole process and wished swift recovery for all patients who would be treated in that hospital.
“City hospitals will increase the satisfaction with health services even more”
During his speech, Health Minister Dr. Ahmet Demircan stated that satisfaction with the health services increased to 75% from 39% and added that “We aim to increase it even more. Without doubt, city hospitals will increase the satisfaction with health services even more.”
“Kayseri City Hospital will not only provide services for Kayseri but also for Sivas, Nevşehir, Niğde, Kırşehir and neighbour provinces.”
Stating that there are general hospital, obstetrics, children hospital, cardiovascular diseases hospital, physical therapy and rehabilitation hospital, psychiatry hospital and high security judicial psychiatry hospital, Dr. Demircan further expressed that
“The single and double hospital rooms have the comfort of 5-star hotels with toilets, bathrooms, TVs and refrigerators. When the city hospitals are completed all over the country, there will be additional 40 thousands qualified beds. We both provide qualified health services for our citizens and strengthen the infrastructure for health tourism. We aim to obtain $20b from the health tourism by 2023. I would like to thank all who have involved in this process from the beginning to the end, mainly H.E. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan who dreamed and enabled realization of these important structures.”
