Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca stated that Türkiye and Albania agreed to jointly operate Fier Friendship Hospital, which has been providing health services in Albania since 2021, for another 5 years. In his statement on his social media account, Minister Koca said that he had a fruitful meeting with Albanian Minister of Health and Social Protection Albana Koçiu, who was in Türkiye due to the Türkiye-Albania High Level Cooperation Council meeting, and further added that “We reached a consensus on the joint operation of our Fier Friendship Hospital, which has been providing health services to our Albanian brothers and sisters in Fier since April 2021, for another 5 years. Additionally, we started negotiations on organizing the Health Business Forum and Fair covering the Balkan countries in Tirana. We are ready for all kinds of cooperation in the field of health with the friendly and brotherly country Albania.”
