Recently, a second step has been taken to solve the problem of the unavailability of certain medicines in the market. Health Minister Dr. Fahrettin Koca met with the executives of all the stakeholders of the pharmaceutical industry in Istanbul.

Around 40 participants from the Pharmaceutical Industry Employers' Association (İEİS), Turkish Pharmaceutical Industry Association (TİSD), Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies Association (AİFD), Health Products Association (SURDER) and Pharmaceutical Warehouses Association (EDD) attended the meeting held at the Presidency of Turkish Health Institutes (TÜSEB). Officials of the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TİTCK) were also present at the meeting.

Minister Koca, in his social media post, said, “We have taken the second step to solve the problem of unavailability of medicines. We conveyed to all the representatives of the sector that our only priority is to meet the needs of Turkey. Our message is clear: If our citizens have access to medicine, we will all feel comfortable.”

In his evaluation, Minister Koca reminded the steps taken to solve the problems of the sector and stated that the sector should do their part to ensure citizens’ access to medicines. Sector representatives thanked for the arrangements made so far and stated that they would contribute to the solution by mobilizing all their means related to the supply of medicines.
