Minister of Health Dr. Fahrettin Koca received United Kingdom Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Turkey Lord Robin Janvrin and the accompanying delegation on 5 November. Following the bilateral meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two countries.
“We are making efforts to increase our trade relations on win-win basis. The Memorandum of Understanding to be signed today will lay the foundation for the Turkey-United Kingdom Joint Health Business Forum planned to be held in Istanbul in February 2020.
The Health Business Forum will provide a platform to explore cooperation opportunities in the fields of medicines, medical devices, vaccines, health tourism, health investments, and also enable to exchange knowledge and experience between the two countries” said Dr. Koca in his press statement.
On the other hand, “This Memorandum of Understanding will be a crucial step as it brings common interests for both countries' bilateral trade and investment activities. I believe that the trade relations between our countries will be deepened and further developed in the health sector in the coming period” said Lord Janvrin in his speech.
