President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the mass opening ceremony of the projects completed in Bilecik and addressed the citizens. At the ceremony, Health Minister Dr. Fahrettin Koca also made a speech.
In his speech at the mass opening ceremony, President Erdoğan said, “One of our country's historically old and geographically small cities, Bilecik is the closest witness to the developments in Türkiye’s history. We have made a public investment of 20 billion TL in Bilecik in the last 20 years. We have completed the construction of a total of 26 health facilities, 8 of which are hospitals. The construction of our 3 health facilities continues. We are working to build a 50-bed state hospital in Söğüt.”
Emphasizing that they have officially opened 52 public investments with a current investment amount exceeding 1 billion 771 million liras and 10 private sector investments amounting to 653 million liras, President Erdoğan said that among these investments there are state hospitals with 300 beds in Bilecik and 200 beds in Bozüyük and other health facilities.
“This year marks a new milestone, a new birth”
In his speech, Health Minister Dr. Fahrettin Koca said, “We have made a great leap in the field of health. We are proud of the distance we have covered and the opportunities we have today.”
“Within the scope of the vision of the Century of Türkiye, and to maximize the service we provide to our nation; we are determined to announce to the whole world that our country is a health base,” said Minister Koca, adding, “This year is a new turning point, a herald of a new birth. By rising from these lands, the voice that gives order to the world will become louder again.”
Stating that Bilecik today has three separate health facilities that incorporate all the advanced possibilities of modern medicine, Dr. Koca continued as follows:
“Our 300-bed Bilecik Training and Research Hospital will serve our citizens with its 87 polyclinics, 11 operating rooms, angio and burn units, and a 600 square meter physical therapy center. Our hospital has been strengthened against earthquake risk with 408 seismic isolators.
In our Bozüyük State Hospital, which has a closed area of 46 thousand square meters, we have 250 beds, 10 operating rooms and 66 polyclinics.
In both of our hospitals, the access of our air ambulances will be provided with the helipad we have built.”
Stating that Bozüyük Oral and Dental Health, Palliative Care, Community Mental Health and Family Health Center Project has a closed area of 10 thousand 700 square meters, Dr. Koca said, “It is at the service of our citizens with 32 dental polyclinics, dental surgery, 16-bed palliative care center, community mental health center, 6 family medicine centers and children's day care centers.”
