Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey is providing training for 41 Bosnia-Herzegovinian healthcare professionals in their language.
Through such organizations, Turkey shares her experiences in the field of emergency health and disaster management and so far has provided trainings for 650 healthcare professionals from 21 countries.
“Emergency Health Services and Disaster Management Training Program” started in Izmir with participation of 41 Bosnian healthcare professionals. Training includes such chapters as approach to urgent and traumatic patients, scene management, basic life support and CPR, ambulance driving techniques and health services in times of disasters. The two-week training is provided by the officers of the Ministry of Health who can speak Bosnian.
Organized in Izmir Urla International Emergency Disaster Management and Simulation Center, the trainings target share of Turkey’s experiences and transfer of the health system. Throughout the program, UMKE trainers will make presentations, and visits will be paid to AFAD and 112 Command Control Centers.
Training for 650 healthcare professionals from 21 countries
The Turkish Ministry of Health has provided trainings for 650 healthcare professionals from 21 countries in partnership with WHO and OIC for the last 5 years. The 21 countries include Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Sudan, Palestine, Georgia, Albania, Hungary, Kosovo, Macedonia, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Tajikistan, Gambia, Ethiopia, Niger, Moldova and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
