Health Minister Dr. Fahrettin Koca announced that the salary increase for healthcare professionals who are not medical doctors would not cause a loss in the salaries of the doctors.
The full text of Minister Koca's statement:
“We brought up the issue that the base payment for the healthcare professionals who are not medical doctors was low before, and now it will be increased. Some claims, which led to the misconception that this payment would be made from the “promotion pool”, thus causing losses for doctors, were made. This is sad and surprising.
Because, as it should be known for a long time, the base payment is not a form of payment that affects the promotion payment. Netting vanished after the White Reform on August 17, 2022. The base payment is calculated separately from the promotion and made directly on the 15th of each month, by showing it on a single payroll with the salary and fixed payment.
Any approach that will disrupt the working harmony of health professional groups, which is a need, an obligation, and a moral requirement in healthcare services, is unethical. It is unthinkable that the improvement planned for one health professional group is to the detriment of another professional group. We talked about these in detail before.
