Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu was appointed as the Minister of Health, and replaced Dr. Fahrettin Koca following the handover ceremony at the Ministry. Speaking at the handover ceremony, Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu stated that Türkiye is among the leading countries in the world in health services and added, “We aim not only to provide healthcare services but also to produce healthcare technology.” Underlining that great progress and revolutionary success have been achieved in healthcare in 22 years, he reaffirmed his commitment to carry the flag he took over in this successful journey even further, and expressed his gratitude to Dr. Fahrettin Koca for his services.We Aim to Achieve Leadership in Information and Technology ProductionMinister Memişoğlu stated that Türkiye is among the few countries with a strong health system, and reminded that while most developed countries failed in the face of the pandemic, Türkiye managed the process successfully.
