Health Minister Dr. Ahmet Demircan received Health Minister of Ukraine Dr.Ulana Suprun.
The Turkish Health Minister stated that they were always ready for carrying out joint activities for mutual benefit of the two countries and exchanging experiences.
Mentioning about the city hospitals, Dr. Demircan informed that Kayseri City Hospital would be inaugurated on 5 May, Saturday and added “We plan to complete the city hospitals in 30 cities until 2023, the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Turkey.”
Dr. Demircan also expressed the strengths of Turkey about the health tourism in terms of the natural and physical possibilities and talked about the big progress Turkey made in the field of domestic pharma production.
Dr. Demircan made a call to the scientists and businessmen of the two countries stating that “Scientists and businessmen of Turkey and Ukraine should work together to develop local pharma and medical device sector of both countries.”
Health Minister of Ukraine Dr. Ulana Suprun, on the other hand, expressed her pleasure for being in Turkey and thanked to the Turkish Minister for hospitality.
The Ukrainian Minister added that “We have initiated the procedure to start the general insurance application you started in 2002. Furthermore, we consider that your pharma programs are very functional and binding. In this regard, we can develop joint projects.”
The meeting ended with the mutual presentation of the gifts.
