Minister of Health, Dr. Fahrettin Koca, had a bilateral meeting with his Uzbek counterpart, Alishar Shadmanov.
In the meeting held before the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting, the two discussed possible areas of cooperation between Turkey and Uzbekistan.
Stressing the strong historical ties between the two countries, Koca expressed his pleasure to be hosting the delegation in Turkey.
With regard to the Cooperation Road Map 2019-2020 signed by the health ministries of the two countries, Koca added: "We are glad to have performed many of the items in the road map. I would like to thank you and your team for their efforts."
Pointing out the many surgeries performed during the health week organized simultaneously with the Health Business Forum in Uzbekistan, Koca said: "We are glad to have helped this many Uzbek brothers and sisters to regain their health. We are taking yet another step that will further strengthen our relations with Uzbekistan. USHAS International Health Services Inc. will open up an office in Tashkent. A doctor will be appointed to this office shortly."
Alishar Shadmanov said that he was pleased to be in Turkey and that they were ready for any kind of cooperation.
Shadmanov also added that they considered Turkey an important partners and they they would lift all restrictions on healthcare cooperation for Turkey.
