Health Minister Dr. Fahrettin Koca shared the 211-day life struggle of Zehra Demir, who was born 650 grams at 24 weeks, on his social media account. The message published by Minister Koca on his Twitter account is as follows: “Baby Zehra, who was as tall as a pencil when she was born, won the battle after 211 days of intensive care treatment.” Zehra Demir, who was born 650 grams when she was 24 weeks old in Istanbul, was as tall as a finger. As soon as Zehra was taken from her mother's womb, she was intubated and placed in the intensive care unit. Göztepe Süleyman Yalçın City Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit teams struggled for 211 days to keep little Zehra alive. Zehra was discharged after 7 months in a healthy condition with a weight of 6.5 kilograms. Mother Betül Büşra Demir held her baby in her arms for the first time in months.
