The meeting started with the agenda of “child obesity” and drug-resistant microorganisms.”
Health Minister Dr. Fahrettin Koca went to Mar del Plata to attend Health Ministerial Meeting hosted by Argentine, G20 Term President. Health Minister Koca was welcomed by Meral Barlas, Ambassador of Turkey to Buenos Aires.
Child obesity and antimicrobial resistance (drug-resistant viruses, bacteria, parasites and fungus) threatening the global health will be discussed as the main themes of the two-day summit. During the meetings, the parties discussed cooperation possibilities in the field of medicine and medical devices technology and health tourism. Health Minister Dr. Koca then attended the official dinner hosted by Argentinian Health Minister Adolfo Rubinstein.
On the second day of the meeting, heads of delegations will present their papers on “Consensus Building for Equitable and Sustainable Development”. Health Minister Dr. Fahrettin Koca will deliver two speeches on the role of inappropriate use of antibiotics in increasing bacteria resistance and child obesity. Following the family photo, antimicrobial resistance simulation will be made in the afternoon session.
