Under its humanitarian foreign policy, Turkey continues to help others during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Providing medical supplies to many countries during the pandemic, Turkey, now extended a helping hand to Venezuela.
An agreement on the donation of protective equipment and ventilators to support Venezuela's pandemic response efforts was signed between Deputy Minister of Health, Prof Emine Alp Meşe and the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Ankara, Jose Gregorio Bracho Reyes.
Deputy Minister Meşe said that Turkey with a long-standing sharing culture had lent a helping hand to many countries and passed a very important test successfully under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Meşe pointed out that Turkey's healthcare investments had been appreciated once again in these difficult times and added that they would be glad to share Turkey's experience and knowledge with Venezuelan scientists and officials.
Venezuela's ambassador to Ankara provided information about the pandemic response efforts in Venezuela. Reyes extended his appreciation for the President Erdogan and the people of Turkey for supporting Venezuela in these trying times. Reyes also added that they were ready to sign a cooperation agreement with Turkey that encompasses all aspects of healthcare.
