As a part of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, cases in isolation and their contacts will be prevented from using city busses. For pilot implementation, Deputy Minister of Health Dr Şuayip Birinci and the Mayor of Gaziantep Fatma Şahin signed a protocol.
Those diagnosed with the Coronavirus and their contacts must stay in isolation. Wthin this framework, the HES (Life Fits Home) code has been used for a long time for intercity transport, visits to public institutions and now, in schools. The HES code is now going to be used for inner-city transportation. A protocol was signed between the Ministry of Health and Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality for the pilot implementation.
Under this protocol, Gaziantep Card used in public transportation vehicles will be integrated with the Life Fits Home application.
The HES codes of public transportation users will be integrated with their Gaziantep Card. When a person reads this card on the bus, the system will automatically check that person's health condition from the Ministry of Health's database. If that person is a positive case or a contact, the system will give an alert. He/she will be prevented from using the bus and isolation control measures will be kicked of by the Ministry of Interior. The practice is planned to expanded throughout the country in a short while.
