Those who lost their lives in the February 6 Earthquakes were commemorated with the “Silent March” program in Hatay. Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca, Chairman of CHP (The Republican People's Party) Özgür Özel, Hatay Governor Mustafa Masatlı, members of parliament and mayors, Super League team Atakaş Hatayspor’s coach Volkan Demirel and many citizens came together for the commemorative event organized under the coordination of the Governorship. A group of citizens walked from Vali Ürgen Park to Köprübaşı location with torches, flowers and incense in their hands. Citizens shouted “Can anyone hear me?” at 04.17 when the first earthquake occurred, stood in silence for those who lost their lives in the disaster and sang the National Anthem.
