Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca made a new statement on his social media account regarding the services provided in the 60 days since the opening of İzmir City Hospital. Minister Koca, who announced yesterday that outpatient services were provided to 250 thousand patients in 60 days, reported today that the first Bionic Ear Surgery was successfully performed in the hospital. Minister Koca noted as follows: "The first Bionic Ear Surgery was successfully performed in İzmir City Hospital. Cochlear Implantation (Bionic Ear) surgery was performed on the left ear of a 13-year-old patient with congenital hearing loss. Thanks to the bionic ear device surgically placed using a microscope, the patient will be able to hear with both ears. We wish the patient a quick recovery and congratulate the team."
