President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the opening ceremony of the KeyVac Vaccine Production Center. In his speech at the KeyVac Vaccine Production Center Opening Ceremony in Ankara, President Erdoğan wished that the Hepatitis A vaccine production factory would be beneficial to Ankara, the country and the Turkish nation. “It will assume a leading role” Emphasizing that the Hepatitis A vaccine production facility would fill an important gap in its field, Erdoğan continued his words as follows: “Our factory, which consists of 14 thousand square meters of indoors area, 12 thousand square meters of factory production line and 2 thousand square meters of office space, is equipped with the latest technology. With a total factory area of 29,500 square meters, KeyVac will inshallah play a pioneering role in other vaccines it plans to produce. What happened during the coronavirus pandemic showed us the critical importance of vaccine production capacity. Türkiye managed this process much more successfully than many countries in the world as a result of the determined and effective steps taken by our government during the pandemic. We did not leave any of our citizens homeless or helpless." Erdoğan stated that they offered all vaccines with registered effects to citizens free of charge during the pandemic period and said “We fulfilled our humanitarian duty by providing medical supplies to 161 countries and 12 international organizations. Our country overcame the pandemic, which is described as the biggest health crisis of the last century, by growing not weaker, but stronger, and by increasing the number of its friends. I would like congratulate all our officials, institutions and companies, especially our healthcare professionals, who contributed to this success.” “Our country will have advanced technology and trained human resources” Pointing out that the Hepatitis A vaccine is administered to each child in two doses, free of charge, at the end of the 18th and 24th month by the Ministry of Health, Erdoğan said: “The Hepatitis A vaccine, which is mostly supplied from abroad, will now be produced in our country in a world class way. Thus, Türkiye will be the 4th country to produce this vaccine at the highest standard. In addition, our country will have advanced technology and trained human resources in this field. I wish the KeyVac Hepatitis A Vaccine Production Factory, which was put into service at a time when we were celebrating the 100th anniversary of our Republic, will be auspicious once again. I wholeheartedly congratulate you, our brothers and sisters, who put their minds, efforts, knowledge and vision at the disposal of the Century of Türkiye. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who has supported our goal to grow Türkiye with their investments, production and employment so far." Following the ribbon cutting by President Erdoğan and his entourage, the factory was opened with a ceremony. Fahrettin Koca, Minister of Health, Vedat Işıkhan, Minister of Labor and Social Security, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Industry and Technology, İbrahim Yumaklı, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry and many guests attended the opening ceremony.
