Health Minister Dr. Fahrettin Koca celebrated Eid al-Adha of health directors and healthcare professionals of 81 provinces through video teleconference (VTC) system at the Health Disaster Coordination Center (SAKOM).
In his message to provincial health directors, Dr. Fahrettin Koca said that “We are shouldering a very important responsibility in such a critical time. Our health circle has always carried out its obligations with its extensive experience in the times of such extraordinary conditions as embargos, economic crisis and natural disasters. We are members of a team who suffers most in the society and performs its duties in by far the most vulnerable situations. Sustainability of this self-sacrificing duty depends on provision of services, without any concern of future, by all healthcare professionals from the physicians to the nurses. We have to create a working environment where both patients and healthcare professionals feel safe and mutual trust is built on the highest level.”
“The recent economic attacks may affect the health sector –maybe more than the other sectors. I deem it a national duty to take a proactive position in implementation of long-term solutions in order not to be exposed to such risks. We will develop our indigenization and localization projects respectively with a view to reducing the external dependency in the fields of medical devices, medicines and vaccines.”
Health Minister Dr. Fahrettin Koca added “We will turn this adverse situation into an opportunity. We will avoid wasting our resources and use our potential to launch domestic productions. We are the most suitable candidate for this as the health circle. Eid al-Adha will further strengthen this soul and make an important contribution for our unity and solidarity.”
Addressing to the provincial health directors via VTC system at the Health Disaster Coordination Center (SAKOM), Dr. Fahrettin Koca finalized his words as follows: “On this occasion I would like to celebrate Eid al-Adha of all healthcare professionals and wish more power for our personnel who will work day and night throughout the Eid al-Adha.”
