Health Minister Fahrettin Koca shared on his social media account that 5-month-old baby Mehmet, who had health problems as a result of a safety pin in his throat in Şırnak and was brought to Şanlıurfa by an air ambulance of the Ministry of Health, recovered.
5-month-old baby Mehmet Zeyrek was taken to Şırnak City Hospital by his relatives after he suffered from shortness of breath and got worse.
In the X-ray taken here, it was detected that there was an object in the baby's throat. As a result of the examination, it was determined that it was a safety pin. An air ambulance was requested from the Provincial Health Directorate after the safety pin went to the trachea.
After preparations made in a short time, the baby was referred to Şanlıurfa Mehmet Akif İnan Training and Research Hospital by an air ambulance.
The message published by Minister Koca on his Twitter account is as follows:
“The 5-month-old baby Mehmet was transported from Şırnak to Şanlıurfa by an air ambulance after the safety pin he swallowed went to his trachea. The safety pin was taken from the trachea with bronchoscopy performed in Şanlıurfa Mehmet Akif İnan Training and Research Hospital.”
