Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca announced that the first bone marrow transplant was performed at Izmir City Hospital. “The first bone marrow transplant was performed in Izmir City Hospital, which opened a month ago. Our Izmir City Hospital has all the necessary facilities for both methods of transplants which are using cells taken from the patient’s own body and using cells taken from a donor.
