Minister of Health Dr. Fahrettin Koca published messages on his social media account on the occasion of December 3, International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Minister Koca shared the following messages: “The real disability encountered every day is the prejudices against the disabled people and approaches that have such consequences as excluding them from social life and working life. Let's overcome our own disabilities. Happy 3rd of December, International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The system we have established for the disabled groups who have difficulties in terms of oral and dental treatment is currently in 15 provinces. We will soon expand the same system to 25 provinces and then to the whole country. The disabled people deserve better conditions than all of us. Happy 3rd of December, International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Türkiye has made significant improvements in healthcare services, especially in recent years, that will make the lives of people with disabilities easier. Healthcare services provided to the disabled people at home and the facilitated services in the healthcare facilities are some of these. In addition, as the Ministry of Health, we have increased the number of the disabled personnel to 16,469 and the number of the disabled workers to 5,462. After all this information, my main message is here: We should all make more room for the disabled people in life. Happy 3rd of December, International Day of Persons with Disabilities.”
