Karabük Visit of Health Minister Dr. Fahrettin Koca

Health Minister Dr. Fahrettin Koca went to Karabük for a series of inauguration programs.

Dr. Koca made a press statement following his visit to Governor of Karabük Fuat Gürel, and said that “We had the opportunity to make a general evaluation about health services delivery in Karabük which stands out with its nature, natural attractions and local people. We talked about deficiencies and missing aspects of health services delivery in this province. We also exchanged opinions about health tourism potential of Safranbolu.”

Following his visit to the governor’s office, Dr. Koca attended the inauguration ceremony of Karabük Oral and Dental Health Hospital, Yenice State Hospital, Eskipazar Integrated State Hospital and Provincial Health Directorate.

Concerning the investments made in Karabük, Dr. Koca touched upon the following issues in his speech: “Investment worthy of TRY 8 billion has been made in Karabük in transport, tourism, education and health under the leadership of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Out of this, the share of health is TRY 255 million. Karabük has become an education and employment center with its organized industrial sites of metal products and forestry products.”

“We are also working on a 150-bed hospital project in the form of an annex to the Training and Research Hospital in the province. We are also about to conclude the project and tender phase of the integrated hospital in Ovacık district. Construction of family health centers and 112 emergency stations needed in this areas will also be planned and completed” added Dr. Koca.
