Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca visited earthquake victims, who are currently undergoing treatment at Elazığ Fethi Sekin City Hospital, and received information about their medical status.

After his visit to the City Hospital, Koca told reporters that the majority of the patients were discharged.

Adding that he visited patients, who were undergoing treatment at the City Hospital, Koca pointed out that there were 81 patients receiving treatment in Elazığ and Malatya.

Noting that the 72-hour mark was reached, Koca said:

"8 field hospitals have been established today. While doing so, we are also offering them psychological and psychiatric treatment at the healthy life center. We are doing our best to ensure access to medicine in areas with a lot of tents. I would like to specifically point out that the number of followed-up patients are going down and we do not have a critical patient."

Reminding the fact that 45 people were rescued alive under the rubble, Koca added: "This was a consolation for us. I would like to thank our first responders. I think the advanced level of healthcare conditions in Elazığ and Malatya also contributed to this. We will keep on working until all issues are resolved. I would like to also add that our healthcare personnel has been mobilized in the region. 2625 personnel have served and continue to serve."
