Upon the question whether there would be a new patient transfer from Gaza, Koca said the following: "So far, 200 people have arrived in our country, including 114 patients and 86 companions. The number of children among these 114 patients is 26. Unfortunately, we lost two of the patients. We lost two of the patients, one with malignant melanoma and the other with lung cancer with widespread metastasis. 7 of the patients are currently being followed up in the intensive care. There is no serious problem in other patients at the moment. Their follow-up continues.” Stating that the coordination team consisting of Israel, Egypt and Türkiye will continue to work for the transfer of new patients in the following process, Koca said, "What we want to do in the following process is to open the field hospital and provide the healthcare services on site. As you know, we have a team responsible for this and they examined three locations and found that they were not very suitable in terms of infrastructure. Feasibility studies were carried out again for a new location. We think that this fourth location, which is closer to the Rafah Border Gate, will be suitable.""20 ambulances are waiting at the border with their licenses" Koca stated that he met with the health ministers of Israel and Egypt and they agreed on this issue, and continued as follows: "In the coming days, I think we will have the opportunity to quickly establish a field hospital at this location with better infrastructure, in which case we will be able to treat patients more on-site. 20 ambulances are waiting at the border with their licenses. Together with the field hospital, they will also be transferred to Gaza." Upon being reminded of the call of a child in Palestine to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for treatment, Koca said, "There was not only one but two little boys. One of them made a special call to our President. We have reached both of the children, we have found their addresses and we are in contact with them." While answering the question about the judicial process regarding the Turkish Medical Association and trade unions, Minister of Health Koca pointed out that the legal process continued and noted the following: "The place of struggle for the rights and dignity of physicians should not be in trade unions, but in the medical chambers. The aim of the medical chambers should only be to protect the rights and dignity of physicians. I invite all my physician friends to support the medical chambers, whose aim should only be to protect the rights and dignity of physicians."
