Huzeyfe YILMAZ

Deputy Minister

Born in 1977 in Bolu, Huzayfe Yılmaz graduated from Ankara Tevfik İleri Imam Hatip High School and then Electronics and Communication Engineering at Kocaeli University. He earned his M.Sc. in Electronics and Electrical Engineering at Gazi University.

He started his professional life as an engineer at Ankara Metropolitan Municipality in 2001 and became vice manager for technical works. He started to work at Türksat in 2005, and was appointed respectively as Ankara Provincial Director, Technical Operations Director and Kocaeli Provincial Director. He was appointed as Head of Informatics Department at the Ministry of Youth and Sports in 2014, and became Director General for Training, Culture and Researches in 2017. In December 2018, he was appointed as Director General and Member of Executive Board of Tarnet Inc., an affiliated body of Agricultural Credit Cooperatives. In 2020, he started to work as visiting professor at Ankara Science University, and became Chair of Informatics Committee at Ankara Chamber of Commerce in 2022.

Throughout his career, he became a part of many technology and infrastructure projects including Digital Transformation Project of Credits and Hostels Association, Youth Information system, NUSRAT, Resource Planning System of Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, ZİHA (agricultural unmanned air vehicle), Tır Cepte (Truck in Pocket) and ATS (smart tractor systems). He speaks English and Arabic. He is married with two children.
