Professor Fatma Meriç YILMAZ

Professor Fatma Meriç Yılmaz was born in Ankara in 1975. Fatma Meriç Yılmaz graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Medicine in 2000. She specialized in Clinical Biochemistry in 2003 at Ankara Training and Research Hospital and worked as chief resident between 2003 and 2010 at the same hospital. She became an assistant professor in 2008 and Assistant Clinical Chief at Numune Training and Research Hospital in 2010. She was appointed as an associate professor at the Department of Biochemistry of Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Faculty of Medicine in 2011. She became a full professor at the same university in 2014. Professor Yılmaz was the Training and Administrative Coordinator of the Biochemistry Laboratory and Laboratory Coordinator of Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital from 2012 to 2015. She is a member of various scientific organizations and has more than 200 national and international scientific publications. She served as The General Secretary of Ankara 1st Region between 2015 and September 2016. She speaks English fluently. She is married and has three children. She is also a member of the Executive Board of the Red Crescent Society in charge of Blood Services.
